Another Way to Fight Junk Mail
Even though I joined CatalogChoice.org, most of my mail still ends up in the recycling heap. So, I'm trying another tactic to obliterate junk mail: Adding myself to the DirectMail.com National Do Not Mail List.
After you fill out your name and address on the site, it asks if there are any types of mailings you would like to continue to receive (such as political ads, women's clothing catalogs, etc.). You can select one by one or simply select "No" and not receive anything. Then the website sends you a couple of confirmations and, voila, you're done.
I'll let you know how this one works out for me. By the way, now that the holidays are over, I'm getting at least 14 sale catalogs a day from the same desperate bastards who mailed me something every 20 minutes before Christmas. The disease might just be incurable.

Just wondering? Has this worked for you for the onslaught of Credit Card Offers. I believe I must mail at least 10 of those a week back to them in their postage paid envelopes -- Of course, I've written "NO THANKS!!" across the form before stuffing it into their envelope. I'd love to eliminate this nuisance forever!!!!!
