Full Spectrum, Long-Lasting Lighting
Want to buy energy-saving light bulbs, but don't like that eye-stinging glow you remember when you think of fluorescent lights? Are there compact fluorescent light bulbs (CFLs) that are warmer, full spectrum? Yes, and they're not hard to find anymore. Look on the packaging for the Color Reference Index (CRI). The higher the CRI, the better the mix of the red, green and blue spectra, with 100 providing the most natural rendering of color. The better CFLs are generally around 80. Ask a salesperson if you can't find the CRI on the packaging.
