Before I finish this month's column, however, we need to talk about dropped ceilings. I know, they're tacky, but our contractor insisted they were necessary for us to have in our basement in order to get access to the pipes and wires running under the first floor. I happened to find a company called Ecophon, which makes dropped ceilings from recycled glass that is safe, healthy and good looking! The ceilings are up, and we are very pleased.
Soon, soon, we will be moving in. And I feel like I'm almost home!
