Basic Iced Coffee
Wild Oats Markets, www.wildoats.com, 800-494-9453
Brew a pot of your favorite organic coffee; we recommend a blend of light and dark roasts. Brew the coffee a little stronger than usual; not quite double strength. When the coffee is finished brewing, take the carafe off the warming plate and let it cool to room temperature. Store the coffee in a covered pitcher in the refrigerator. Serve over coffee ice cubes (see below).
Coffee Iced Cubes
Brew regular fresh coffee, let it cool and pour into ice cube trays. Let freeze. Make coffee just the way you like it, chill it, then pour it over the cubes. This keeps the coffee strong even as the ice melts.
