The Solutions

Choose untreated clothes made from organic cotton, hemp, recycled polyester or bamboo, which has natural anti-microbial properties and is a quick-drying, absorbent material. Even soy fibers are appearing in clothes.

Below are some eco-friendly items to let you sweat in style. While these contain high percentages of eco-friendly fabrics, some also contain spandex for added stretch. A combination of polyester and polyurethane, spandex (trademarked Lycra) is hard to avoid in durable workout clothes, so just look for the lowest percentage possible.
