Organic Foods: Internet and Mail-Order Resources

Our readers frequently request information about places to purchase organic foods online or by mail. While we encourage consumers to support small, local family farms by buying their sustainably grown meat, poultry, dairy and fresh produce in season, we offer this list for those times and places when local shopping isn't an option. Use the list also when sending gifts; you can cut down the shipping miles and the petroleum they burn up by choosing mail-order options close to the recipient.

In addition to organic foods, we've also listed other healthier, planet and people-friendly options (sustainably harvested fish, for example).
