Garden Gourmet too dry

My Garden Gourmet cost $99.95 US this year. It is VERY easy to assemble, sturdy, and has defied wildlife entry. It has instructions for enlarging the air holes, which I have not done, but in my case it dries out although I pour a gallon of water in every few days.
