Just recently, our brother site www.elledecor.com shared to you the 10 of the coziest places that you can find in all of America. Are you fortunate enough to be living in one of these cities?
The temperatures in the Northeast and the Midwest part of the country are becoming lower compared to some parts in Antarctica. And because of this, the idea of getting pack for a Caribbean tour is very enticing. But don’t do the packing just yet. Thanks to the makers of the Honeywell Infrared Heaters they have collaborated with the consultants at the Environmental Health and Engineering to conduct a study about the coziest cities in the United States. The scientist and researchers included some factors that can make the city warm like the following:
1. Fireplaces – Not only will make any house warm but the sheer view of the living room having a fireplace can give off a very relaxing ambience that everybody would want to have.
2. Heaters – The availability of this device will not only bring heat to an entire household, but it will also help make the family feel the welcoming feel of the area that will make them want to stay for a very long time.
3. Coffee shop proximity – Coffee shop is not only a place for relaxing but it is also a place to keep us warm. A brief stop at this establishment will not only sizzle our chilling bodies but also the smell of a fresh brew will always bring that warm feeling to all of us. It is a special place where we can just sit back, relax, and meet new friends in the process. All of these while having a sip of your favorite coffee.
Apart from these factors, having a stressful lifestyle is also considered in the conducted research as having stress will lead to unpleasant living conditions. Moreover, the historical ambience of the city is also included in this research as there are certain places in the United States that are known to be a ‘hotspot’ for everything warm and cozy.
The research was conducted and the results were very surprising. You may think that Los Angeles is included in the list because of its sunny weather or Maine being the home of L.L. Bean and their renowned blankets. You may be also convinced to believe that Burlington is also included in the top 10 list because of the scenic rolling hills and the brick Main Street, but the truth is none of these cities even came close to the top 10 list! This inspired an official debate to many people about what really makes a place warm and cozy. Here are the top 10 coziest cities in the United States today:
- Boston/Cambridge, MA
- San Francisco, CA
- Santa Fe, NM
- Washington, DC
- Portland, OR
- Seattle, WA
- Baltimore, MD
- Providence, RI
- New Orleans, LA
- Savannah, GA
And if you have some thoughts about the results, please feel free to leave a comment and share what you have to say about this.
