1. Be a ‘germaphobic’ – Make it a habit to wash your hands with the use of a germicidal soap to keep it clean all the time. It is recommended that you wash your hands at least 5 times a day and makes sure to wash your hands using the lather and not the flowing water in the faucet. 2. Make a habit to drink plenty of water – Makes sure to drink a glass of water at least 8 times a day. The H2O not only flushes out the toxins inside your body, but also prevents bacteria from taking hold of your body once you are being exposed to it. 3. Keep yourself warm most of the time – Feeling cold and getting chills depresses the immune system of our bodies. You are prone to be sick since your body is exerting more energy to keep you warm instead of warding off viruses and germs. So before the winter season comes, it is best to invest on a nice piece of coat, gloves, hat, shoes, and other things to keep you warm. However, try to avoid overheating yourself to the point of sweating because you will feel the chills eventually, Go for outfits that provide good insulation and wicks the moisture off your skin.
4. Find some time to relax – Winter season is filled with holiday parties and other festivities and it will surely be hard to unwind at this time of the year. Even so, find time to relax as distressing yourself helps a lot in strengthening your immune system. So be sure to take time alone and meditate or attend yoga classes to ease the mind and calm your senses to relieve yourself of the stress and prevent yourself from getting sick.
